These terms govern your use of RivalEdge, including the free web audit and the installed Shopify app (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you agree on its behalf.
The Service
RivalEdge reads public competitor catalog data and your own product catalog (via Shopify) and produces a ranked, evidence-backed action list. In this version the Service is read-only: it recommends price moves and links you to apply them in Shopify Admin. It does not write prices to your store on your behalf. Automated repricing is a planned future capability and is not part of this version.
Accuracy & your judgment
We work hard to be accurate — every signal carries a source link so you can verify the exact number, and we suppress findings we are not confident about. Still, the Service surfaces recommendations based on public data that can be cached or change without notice. You are responsible for your own pricing and business decisions; RivalEdge is decision support, not a guarantee of outcomes.
Plans & billing
Paid plans are billed through Shopifyon a monthly or annual basis at the prices shown on our pricing page. Shopify handles payment, receipts, and tax. You can change or cancel your plan through Shopify; changes take effect per Shopify’s billing rules. The free web audit requires no account or payment.
Acceptable use
- Use the Service for your own legitimate competitive research.
- Do not use it to overload, attack, or circumvent the protections of any third-party store.
- Do not resell or scrape the Service’s output as a data feed, or abuse the free audit as a bulk crawling proxy.
- Do not attempt to access data or accounts that are not yours.
We may rate-limit or suspend access that threatens the Service or third-party storefronts.
Intellectual property
The Service, including its software and the structure of its output, is owned by RivalEdge. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive right to use it while your plan is active. Public catalog facts we surface are not owned by us.
Disclaimers & liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, RivalEdge is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.
Termination
You may stop using the Service or uninstall the app at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or to protect the Service. On termination we delete your stored store data per our Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
